Boone County F.O.R.C.E. Fiscal Responsibility Policy and Guidelines Adopted by the Board of Directors of the Boone County F.O.R.C.E. on January 16, 2003
It is the financial policy of the Board of Directors of the Boone County F.O.R.C.E. to annually spend only the estimated earned income each fiscal year (exclusive of donations received). However, the Boone County F.O.R.C.E. will distribute at least enough each tax year in a time and manner as not to become subject to the tax on undistributed income imposed by section 4942 of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code (i.e., an amount equal to approximately 5% of the average fair market value of our assets). Through the implementation of the following guidelines, it is the desire of the Board of Directors of the Boone County F.O.R.C.E. to maintain financial responsibility in order to perpetuate the organization while impacting as many people in Boone County as possible.
The following guidelines and priorities will be considered when making decisions regarding requests for funding:
1. Provide funding for programs offered by organizations with a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit status, schools or government entities.
